How some features work

Who can see your information

Where it's stored and how it's protected

Your information is stored with Google Cloud. Test results are kept in India (Mumbai); account and profile information is kept in the United States. Data is encrypted while travelling between the app and our servers, and access rules ensure people can only reach the information they're allowed to see.

How long we keep it

We keep your information until you delete your account. Crash reports are kept for about 90 days. If a clinic ran a test on you, that clinic's own record of the test stays with the clinic after you delete your account, as it forms part of their records.

Your choices and rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

Children

CataPred can be used to screen a child's eyes. If the person being tested is under 18, a parent or guardian must create the account or give consent, and should be present during the test.

A note about medical use

CataPred is a screening tool for awareness. It is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace an examination by a qualified eye doctor. Please see an eye doctor about any result that worries you, or any change in your vision.
